What is a Life Group?
What is a Life Group?
If you’re looking for a place to belong, grow in your faith in God, and build authentic connections with others, this is it. Our weekly gatherings follow the example of the early church in Acts 2:42, where believers devoted themselves to discussing God’s Word, sharing life, eating together, and praying. Each group is casual and welcoming, with room for everyone at the table. Together, we also bless our community through intentional outreach.

When will Life Groups meet?
When will Life Groups meet?
Life Groups will meet every Sunday or Thursday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM for an eight-week semester. They will meet at the facilitator's home or designated gathering place.

Are kids allowed?
Are kids allowed?
Yes, depending on your group and facilitator, children can attend. In some cases, a Life Group may provide someone to watch the kids while the adults enjoy the experience. This will be determined on a group-by-group basis. It is encouraged that you provide childcare on your own and not depend on the Life Group to do so.
What will the topics be?
What will the topics be?
Every group will discuss the same topic. The pastoral staff will decide on these to ensure they are aligned with CHP's Statement of Beliefs. The topic might be from a book, a sermon series, or another resource and will be used to guide the Life Group discussion.
Is there any community outreach?
Is there any community outreach?
Absolutely. One purpose of Life Groups is outreach and service. One of the eight gatherings will be an intentional time to serve in the community. A list of places will be provided to your facilitator, and you and your group can determine where to serve that week.
What is a "facilitator"?
What is a "facilitator"?
Facilitators are volunteer couples whose primary function is to open their home for fellowship and guide the brief discussion. Their role is not to teach or preach but to ensure everyone is engaged and feels welcomed. They are not professional counselors or pastors.
